About

SQL Casebook is an educational app for learning SQL through fictional detective stories. All cases, companies, countries and characters are made up; any resemblance to real people or organizations is coincidental. The content is not legal, financial or any other professional advice.

Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the app you accept these terms and the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Age

You must be at least 16 to use an account. If the laws of your country do not yet allow you to enter into such agreements on your own, you need the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Account

Provide accurate information and keep your password secret. One account per person. You are responsible for actions taken under your account.

Free and paid

Cases 1, 2 and 11 are free. The other cases are unlocked by the one-time "Full archive" purchase in the App Store. It is not a subscription. Payment, taxes and refunds are handled by Apple under its rules; you can request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. The purchase belongs to your Apple ID and can be restored with "Restore purchases".

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. The app includes open-source components; their licenses are listed under "Open-source licenses".

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the service, try to access other people's data, bypass access or purchase restrictions, create accounts automatically or send spam through feedback.

Feedback

You can send suggestions, complaints and bug reports. We may use your suggestions to improve the app without any obligation to you.

Liability

The app is provided "as is". We strive to keep tasks and checks correct but do not guarantee that they are error-free or that the service is uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damages. These terms do not limit consumer rights that cannot be limited under the laws of your country.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in your profile. We may block an account that violates these terms and will tell you why via the account email.

Changes to these terms

The terms may change. We will tell you about material changes in the app. By continuing to use the app after changes you accept the new version.
